English version 🙂
The month of December was rich in outings for the Ants, related to the topic waste!
On December 1st, all the children went to Bois du Four for a clean-up, accompanied by Alicia, Juliette, Ella and Anna. In the end, we only found little waste – fortunately! -, it was rather by getting closer to the village on the way back that there were more to pick up.
The following Thursday, the children went to meet residents and shopkeepers at the Vernoux market, to interview them about their practices and knowledge related to waste & recycling.
The children had prepared the interview guide themselves to find out the number of interviewees who make compost, if they know where their black bins go, etc… We even had the change to interview the Mayor!
We took advantage of being in the center of the village to take a welcome break at the associative café l’Embarqu’café and meet a local artist, Jean-François André, who presented his exhibition of horse drawings and the work carried out with the children of the Vernoux school. He even sketched in front of the admiring eyes of the children a drawing of horses, just for La Fourmilière.
Both times, the children cheerfully walked back to school at a good pace, through the forest!
